When used correctly timeshare is a great product. We've always been members of RCI and by doing this we've been able to take full advantage of their spacebank system and bonus weeks, by using the system we've stayed at resorts in W.A., Queensland, N.S.W. and Victoria, last year we toured New Zealand and spent three weeks in timeshare resorts (3 resorts 1 week at each). Later this year we're going to Hawaii with friends and we'll be staying at 3 resorts up there.
Over the years we've met many owners and the ones most satisfied are those who take full advantage of their RCI membership.

We first purchased 2 weeks at the Moorings 5 years ago. We are very happy with our unit and the way the resort is being managed. It certainly beats other holiday accommodation. We are so satisfied that we have since purchased a further 4 weeks. Our large family greatly enjoyed coming to the Moorings and now 2 married daughters have also purchased shares in this resort.
Not only have we enjoyed holidays at our own resort but we have also successfully exchanged weeks through RCI. In the last 3 years we have stayed at 7 most luxurious resorts in the U.K. including a week in London, and 2 resorts in New Zealand. On enquiring we were surprised to find how expensive these weeks would have been had we had to pay for them. Our initial investment has been most worthwhile and we are very pleased that we are owners at the Moorings.

We have been requested to offer our opinion on the "Moorings" - we first came here on exchange and were so pleased with the atmosphere we found that when we were presented with the chance to own, we took it up at once. It is totally different from our other timeshare, which is "up-market" and that is part of the reason we bought. It is very relaxing just to drive in and know that you can be at peace for a week at least. Here you can be as busy or as lazy as you like. Having the restaurant on site is a big plus, knowing that you can go out for dinner have a bottle of wine and not worry about a blue flashing light on the way home. The only downside for us (me) is the lack of handrails in the pool, but that is because of a personal disability. We have been sorry to see the progress halted but hope it will pick up. To sum up we find it is like coming to a friendly family and the people here go out of their way to make you welcome and fit in from the moment you arrive.

When we bought our unit time share in 1988, we were treated like "royalty" and have found on ensuing returns to our "home" resort, that attitude from "The Moorings" has not changed.
*Our unit is in block 'B', and having traveled the East Coast, Victoria, & N.Z. find our own unit most spacious and very comfortable.
*We are most pleased with the upgrading of curtains, bed spreads & the florescent lighting. (Thank you)
*"The Moorings" has grown since we bought from blocks 'A & B', uncovered swimming pool & tennis court only to what it is today.
*The trees recently planted will be much appreciated in time as they grow.

Sandy Point unit it terrific. We are in unit 30 tenth floor overlooking the pool & ocean. Been to movie world Batman ride was unreal. Lethal Weapon was a stress test. Its only Monday we have .... rest of the week to go.

Buying 'A' block must have been one of the best things we have ever done. RCI exchange gets us into Fiji Palms Resort for the week - at around $100 it must be the best bargain holiday. We are having a few days on Treasure Is first.
